STONE SOUP COFFEEHOUSE
STONE SOUP IS MOVING
TO SLATER MILL!
Stone Soup is pleased to announce that we are returning to Slater Mill. The partnership between Stone Soup and Slater Mill is not a new one, and re-joins two notable Rhode Island institutions in service to the performing arts. As we begin our 34th year, we are excited about these plans and look forward to sharing music with everyone. Look for updates on this website.
Lori Urso, Executive Director of Slater Mill, says it is a natural pairing. “Both Slater Mill and Stone Soup share an affinity for tradition, and strive for excellence in the programming each organization hosts within the City of Pawtucket. I am excited that we have the opportunity to partner with Stone Soup to collectively provide this level of quality programming here.”
Mayor Donald R. Grebien commented, “For more than 14 years, Pawtucket has been the proud home of Stone Soup Coffeehouse, one of New England’s most successful and longest-running coffee houses and a perfect fit for location at Slater Mill in the heart of the city’s Arts and Entertainment District. The city has provided organizational art grants to support the nonprofit group’s mission of offering the highest quality folk music at an affordable price and Stone Soup has organized events for our annual Pawtucket Arts Festival. The thousands of music lovers Stone Soup has attracted to its Saturday night gatherings also take advantage of our local restaurants, and we look forward to continuing this outstanding partnership for many years to come.”
Please visit the Slater Mill website for information about their history and programs.
